Len Bias Laws - Who Can We Blame for Accidents?
Medical tests confirm that Maryland basketball player Len Bias was killed by cocaine. It was an accidental overdose, but the public decided to hold someone responsible for it. In 1986 and 1988, Congress passed anti-drug abuse acts in parts of the United States. Similar laws are still used today to punish friends and family members of overdose victims.
