The True Identity of Phineas P. Gauge

In 2008, Michael Spurlock leaves a message for the Willgases on Flickr of Phineas P. Gauge. The tamping iron in the photograph matches the one in Harvard's possession. And the man in Willgases, DeGareotype portrait is in fact PhineasP. Gauge and not gauge. After a century of tall tales that clouded his true identity, he's finally given a face to this story.
