The Priesthood and Mediation

The letter to the Hebrews is kind of the quintessential priestly text in the New Testament. The idea of the high priest of mediation of sacrifice is something that defines the priesthood here on earth. A priest becomes another Christ and functions as the mediator. He offers prayers up to God on behalf of man and he interceded for man as God.
