The War by Otto Dix

Otto dix's work represents the psychological dramas of war in chilling illustrations and paintings. In 19 33 he is fired from his professorship teaching art at the dresden academy, where he had worked for six years. His most notable works are a collection of 50 etchings done in black and white depicting the various horrors and dramas he witnessed during world war one. One of the most well known etchings is titled storm troopers advancing under gas. The rough, etching lines give the illustration a strong feeling of tension and mediacy.
