MLKit and TensorFlow Lite APIs
The right way to think about MLKit is turnkey on-device APIs, and that application developers who may not have the ML expertise to train their own models. An excellent one is provided through MLKit. And then like I said, it actually does get passed down to TensorFlow Lite where the inference actually happens.
