Dr. King's Life and Death

Dr. King had some advisors who told him that he shouldn't engage in helping these striking workers but Dr. King understood that there was a direct connection between civil rights and economic rights and labor rights. He made the decision to travel to Memphis, Tennessee and everyone knows the story. I mean he traveled to Memphis, he participated in marches and he ultimately gave his life in support of those sanitation workers. This was an illegal strike but they had to stand up and say that enough was enough.
