At several of the Golden State Killer crime scenes, police found microscopic chips of blue architectural paint which they believed came from a spray painting tool. Paul Holz took a gamble by reaching out to Mr. RX's sister directly and she agreed to provide a DNA sample for testing. The results revealed Mr. Rx was not the Golden State killer.
