The Fearful Avoidant Attachment
A person with a fearful avoidant attachment is afraid of being close or too distant from others. They see their relationships from the working model that you need to go towards others to get your needs met. As adults, these tend to find themselves in really dramatic relationships with highs and lows. You can challenge your defenses by choosing a partner with a secure attachment style. And therapy can be helpful for changing maladaptive attachment patterns.
