Is the Black Hole Foundational?
Eric Brincox: The idea of a hologram is that information's packed on a two dimensional surface and it projects a three dimensional image. But in the case of a black hole, where ing that there's no more information than you can pack in the black hole that you can pack on the surface of the event horizon. So if we take that really seriously, he says, maybe this entire universe is really two-dimensional.
