Composing a Picture
It's compositing. You're essentially taking something that happened in front of a camera and then you are making the hardest kinds of decisions, which is how to arrange it. So yes, let's do that and say that is a legitimate area of composing a picture is to use photographs to do it. Now. What else about it? Absolutely. I developed it. Yeah, I did my paintings that way too. I would take my own photographs. And, you know, Maxfield Parrish was a photo basher and he made a good living and he's got some stature in illustration history.
