Is There a Way to Reuse a Character?

We had this idea of having a map with a time life and all these things ofe people. And we were struggling to figr ou way to explain it. So actually, the solution was just to change my character. It's only a small part ind yet. We like doing this stuff where you'd have er, how much reuse can we have fore a character's got a main part in one story?
