The Origin of the Universe

Michio kaku is a well known popularizer of science. In his latest book, te er, the god equation, he it its veryi usual, enthusiastic and very clear style. He starts from newton and goes to einstein, then goes to neels bore and quantm, the advent of quantum theory. Then comes to his favorite, string theory, goes from there to the origin of the universe. There might be a multiverse, many, many universes.
