How to Recognize Your Own Hubris
It's very easy to have beliefs and opinions online because you don't need to test them against the real world. This is a pretty dangerous combination and it can lead to a lot of hubris. The measure of truth, like people sometimes ask me, what is truth? And I say that truth is that which helps make better predictions about the future. Nothing is able to improve your ability to predict the future without knowing whether you're deluded or not.
