The Umayyad Dynasty and Islam
We will discuss how Islam spread from the Arabian Peninsula, then out into Northern Africa and also into Asia. After that, we're going to discuss more about the Umayyad dynasty, which was the first true dynasty to really have control in the Muslim world. And we will end the story with the year 720 CE, which is when the Muslims were defeated in France. From that point on, the Muslims still continued to spread, but it wasn't through military means.
