The Ancients Predicted an Eclipse in Advance

Two and a half thousand years ago, the ancients were able in Greece to predict an eclipse. The only way you can do that is by having a record across the whole of the known world as it was then. But we have no documentation on how we did it. We know that they must have done that because two and a half Thousand years ago, Farlays, T-H-A-L-E-S, from the town of Malaitis in Greece, was able to predictions an eclipse in advance.
