Can a True Sentientist Own a Pet?
Jamie: I think many sentientists would say the idea of owning another sentient being is problematic. He says we could share our home and have companion animals in our family but breeding non-human animals so that they can then be sold as pets is clearly wrong. Can a true sentientist want to create a sentient AI this is a really interesting one, he asks. Jamie: There's a much greater risk we create sentient AI deliberately or by accident and you know run them on a server that leads to a new form of interminable suffering than us humans are ready for right now.
