I think he thinks that America is trying to keep China down. He also says he has a very famous line about how the West is in decline and the East is rising. Right now we are witnessing changes unseen in a hundred years. So he sees this as this turning point as China grows, you know, bigger and stronger. It's impossible to understand Xi Jinping without understanding the Chinese Communist Party.
