The Negative Effects of Stress on Plants

Researchers find that plants under stress emit recordable sound about as loud as a normal speaking voice. They could use this in agriculture to determine how well the plants are doing and they emit different kinds of sound for different kinds of stress. Now they say it sounds like a bunch of bubble wrap popping. That's what the sound sounds like if you lowered the pitch so that was it was in the human hearing in a range.
