The Consequences of the New York Declaration of Forests
The global average temperature has risen by more than 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit since the early 1990s, according to a new study. The rise is due in large part to CO2 emissions from burning fossil fuels such as coal and gas. But scientists say there are other effects including an increase in extreme weather events like droughts that can lead to deadly famines if they aren't stopped.
