Deaf People Are More Efficient at Reading Than Speech Readers

Reading is kind of likea attachment or something that builds off of speech. But there are exceptions to reading being a piggy back on speech. What about deaf people, people who actually cannot hear the language? And so there there is a large portion of the d deff population that actually don't achieve, am, you know, skilled reading level. There is a smaller percentage that do, and are actually really efficient skilled readers.
