The British Government's Policy Toward the Spanish Civil War
When the Spanish Civil War broke out in July 36, the Basque country was loyal to the Republic. A lady called Leah Manning arrived in Bill Bao just before Ganyca. She was trying to arrange an evacuation of children through a non-governmental organization. And this is what forces the British government to kind of accept in principle the admission of some children.
