Saudis already have Formula One, now they're looking towards football. Next time an American football team is for sale, I would have guessed that there will be a Saudi-backed bid. This is about diversifying an economy that's coming off of oil. They're not in this to sell tickets and jerseys. They're in this for something much more back.
