Is Consciousness the Definition of Existence?

Our actions have meaning no matter what happens in the future. We believe in something every minute of our lives. It's just a question of what that thing is. The Western individual subject is not long for this world. But that does not mean that life, that conscious life even is going to be extinguished. I think consciousness is the definition of existence. So there is a future that we're all part of, even now, and we're building without knowing it.
