The Aircraft Crash and the Fires in Canada
A helicopter crashed while working outside of Edson Alberta on these fires now let's get into what's happening up in Canada they had a massive lightning system come through multiple new starts this is just yesterday 46 new starts. 249 active fires 771 fires year to date and 350,000 acres already burned this spring that's a good chunk. Almost 20,000 people have been evacuated so far up in Canada and it's just a really really big deal talking to the folks on the ground in Canada. Like the United States they're still waiting for their main fire crews to come on they're short staffed they as well have had some retention and recruitment issues specifically over the last two and a half years
