Why People Refuse to Admit They're Wrong
I was just wondering how you became interested in this phenomenon in the first place, and why you think it's relevant. When I talk about wrongness admission, I'm not talking about moral wrongness or apologizing or making a mistake. What I mean is like, you hold an inaccurate belief or attitude; do you express that publicly to people? So this is a form of intellectual humility that is in the realm of public displays of intellectual humility. And all of our research shows that it's positive, you know, admitting that you're wrong is a positive outcome.
