The Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics
Daniel and Kelly’s Extraordinary Universe
00:00
Is the Universe More Than Just What We See?
The universe is constantly splitting based on the various possibilities of what can happen every time quantum particles interact. If you take everett's version of quanta mechanic seriously, he solves both the reality problem and the measurement problem. The answer to the reality problem is the wave function directly describes reality. And a prediction of his resolution to these two problems is that these other worlds are real. i think from a philosophical point of view, the simplicity and success of the evard interpretation speaks to not working so hard to get rid of the other worlds.
