The Importance of Mentorship in Open Source
I don't think very many people go in super naive nowadays. The open source sort of rules of the road are pretty well established. It just depends what you're going into it and what you're wanting to get out of. And I put in a lot of time, like a lot of thankless work into that project that I got no direct financial compensation for.
