Is There a Redistribution in the Way That Journalists Are Paid?
I think journalism is probably the most undervalued, underpriced form of creative work in the world. When i look at the new yorker, i see 20 or 30 pieces for some of which i would certainly myself pay five dollars and upwards of five dollars. And you would have never had that going back 34 years ago. I was looking at bill bishop, who does a newsletter about china, 70 thousand subscribers, a hundred, 68 dollars per year. Cause he has that means he's making more than a million dollars per year as a writer.
