What Causes Earthquakes?
The Earth is made out of tectonic plates that sit on... ...on magma. There's 20 independent tectonicplates floating on the softer inner layer. And these things just shift around and bump into each other. What is a plate? I have no idea. A lot of continents are pretty much a plate.
