Jonathan Gruber: The key thing for a maker in this one is do I want to do this again, right? Or do I wants to create something else and if the answer is yes, do it. And you know, I was just talking to a client yesterday about this; she had some different struggles going on. She said there wasn't the growth path that she thought she had.gruber: Are you okay with your job being boring for a little bit? It's not necessarily the most fulfilling. But then if you're okay with it being boring, there's all this play space outside of your job where you can focus on that growth.

So the essence of the question is how do you make the most of the small amount of time you have in the ‘in-between’ moments and how do you follow through more often to generate the outcomes and feelings that you really want to have. And underneath that is the question, do we need to in the first place do any of this or is there magic in the mess of the maker and not centering some of these impulses as the fundamental way we earn our living.
