The role for devils in the Zohar, is that simply a mistake? I think it's a lot of the fact that it was written in medieval times when devils were proliferated. Jewish philosophy was sort of born out of, unlike the Christian tradition, philosophy wasn't native to Judaism. It was born from an encounter with other cultures and a need to explain ourselves.
