There's a phrase I feel like I first heard during the William Jefferson Clinton administration. We want to avoid impropriety, but we also want to avoid the appearance of impropriety. And so the idea is nobody ever has to wonder if this is precise because Michael did it in crayon. Did anyone in that house say crayon? I can't even do it the other way. What's the other way? I swear to Christ, my wife who's from Rhode Island says the word crrayon. Crayon. It's like the beginning of the beer. You stop naming pastels.
