Are We Missing Gonorrhea Chlamydia?

In a lot of pediatric settings, we're really just doing urine. It's the easiest test to get. I would say in someone where your index of suspicion is high or you have PID even on the differential, if you can do a vaginal swab versus doing a urine, you're going to have better odds of catching the pathogen. We are learning more and more about genitalia blockers like ureaplasma that may be causing some cases of gonorrhea chlamydia.
