Can an honor culture as you define it sustain itself without those institutions that were famously catalogued deteriorating in Robert Putnam's bowling alone places like bowling leagues or the church for eternal organizations. How can those continue to endure when the physical entities themselves have kind of gone away in many respects and been replaced by this atomized kind of internet infinite browsing culture? "I think the answer is basically to have a culture," he says.
