I think about tourism as having the potential to be this force that stops other interests from taking priority. The Amazon serves so many functions for every single person on this planet and yet protecting it is a challenge. Millions of people live inside this rainforest. There is a lot of conflict because of humans interacting with the natural environment. It's kind of like Antarctica.
