The History of Bull Fighting
The human fascination with bulls goes back a very long time. Archaeologists on the greek island of crete discovered ancient paintings of rituals in which people grabbed bulls by the horns, dating back to a thousand years ago. In 228 b c,. Historians believe they gathered a group of snarling bulls, tied them to wagons, set them on fire and drove the herd towards the carthaginian army. The moors later developed a similar military strategy of using bull stampedes to attack the enemy. Although the image of modern bull fighting that we have today is just a few hundred years old.
