The Supreme Court's Foreclosure of Federal Courts
Barry Jones was convicted of killing four-year-old rachel. He argued that his state lawyers were ineffective, so he should be able to bring in all kinds of new evidence gathered by my federal attorneys. The court ruled otherwise and said even if state lawyers didn't do their s here, jones can't submit new evidence proving his case. Conservative justices have been signalling a move in this direction for years.
