Is This a Suicide?
There are a lot of signs and evidence that points to this being wounds inflicted by someone other than Ellen. She would have stabbed herself through her clothes, which was unusual as the experts say. If she had locked the door, she only locked the bar lock and didn't bother to engage the deadbolt. It's unclear how she could have delivered that final blow to her chest where the knife remained after she lost consciousness. The investigation by the Philadelphia police was woefully incomplete.
