The Role of Religion in Nihilism

In a nihilistic age, none of that's there. People don't have any of these things to sort of guide them or drive them. And they start to partake in nihilistic activities. The space program is my favorite example but even building up the military and doing things like manning military bases gives everyone something to do. So, this is all hedonism, certainly. But hedonism itself is a form of nihilism.
