I was suggesting that the way most of us are living is not really in accordance with how we ought to be living. We're spending money on luxuries and trivial items that don't make any significant difference to our lives. I did not have a lot of disposable income as a 13-year-old but started trying to donate some share of it. And giving what we can kind of mark the beginning of this movement that's come to be known as effective altruism.
