Justice Jackson Will Participate in the UNC Voting Rights Case

Justice Jackson is available to participate in the UNC case because she was absolutely phenomenal in Merrill versus Milligan. Both have asked the court to overrule Gruder versus Bollinger, which in 2003 narrowly upheld University of Michigan law school's use of race in admissions. The history of race conscious government policies and admissions in particular has a history of the court that starts well before 2003 and Gruder.
