The number one poor motivation that I've seen both in myself and others for doing projects is doing it simply to check a box. And usually that box is trying to get a job, right? So people will build projects, people will put a portfolio together. But it's really just for the sake of potential employers, right? It's this thinking that, well, I need to have a few things to show.
