The earth and moon are moving around each other in circles. It takes one month for the moon to move around the earth. One full spin is one whole day, that's why there's day nine. daytime is when your side of the earth is facing the sun. Because Earth is in the dark shadow. The second high tide is like the earth leaning backwards against the pool of the moon.
