The Gender Pay Gap in Biblical Scholarship
Francesca: I know I am frequently called a theologian as well. And part of it is because that degree that I got says theology and religion. It's a hangover from particularly within European academia, the ways in which the only time you really got to study these texts was if you were doing theology. Francesca: There are lots of women in academia now, but like in every other aspect of academia, women are still like people of color or certain socio-economic class.
