The History of the Repeater
Wired communications also have a distinct limit. They have their own type of horizon. The common solution to this problem is the repeater. This is, simply put, something that can receive a signal and then send it back out. For radio however, repeaters offer other advantages. With wire communications you can always string a wire somewhere, you just get more of it.
