The only way that you can be any kind of a Russian is to agree that LGBT communities should not exist. And especially over the last 10 years, the government has cut down deliberately restricted alternative points of view. It creates an environment in which the only way you know to speak about the world, the only certainty you have is this language. Everything else is under attack.
