The Dog Bite? Is That a Causative?

Somali has a middle voice which is surprisingly like ancient Greeks in terms of the range of meanings it covers. Another function the middle can do is a D objective. That's what the paper I read called it to me it sounds like an anti-passive where you omit a specific object because it's irrelevant. So that means the dog bites itself but obviously that makes no sense. If you wanted to say dog bites itself you'd say the word for itself.
