The advice I would give to anyone who's trying to get anyone's attention about something is think about what's in it for them. And then make a pitch that makes it really worthwhile to them. Just send an email that's just like hey I think we should connect on this. So many we made someone else handle it. Yes I was like I can't sort through this anymore.
