i think what most people care about, they prefer people to be honest and transparent. What they really care about is that you're just not totally screwing them. And when i say that, there's the formulac or monetary amount that it is, but it's also intent. So if there's a way can give someone an extra half % in return, it doesn't cost you anything to do so. But there's a lot of people who it's kind of inconvenient to move my account from one custodian to another. It might take 30 minutes for me, and therefore i'm ok with my client earning less than 1%.
