The Tradition of Purim in Jewish Communities

The holiday of Purim doesn't worry so much about the politics of the look of Esther or anything of that. Instead, the themes that it really fixates on are the questions of identity and everything being upside down and masked. The sense of like cross dressing for hundreds of years has been a big practice on Purim. There have been certainly modern thinkers who are trying to cancel the holiday of Perim.
